About V P College of Pharmacy

V P College of Pharmacy, Madkhol is one of the leading institutions in Kokan region of Maharashtra imparting quality education. College is established in 2017 under the aegis of Shaneshwar Shikshan Prasarak Mandal in the lust green environment of Sahyadri near Sawantwadi-Kolhapur Highway in Madkhol, Sawantwadi of Sindhudurg District, Maharashtra.

The college is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University Lonere, MSBTE Mumbai and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.

College offering D. Pharm programme with 60 Intake, B. Pharm programme with 100 Intake and three PG Programmes viz. M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance each with 15 Intake.

The college has modern Infrastructure with state-of-the-art learning facilities. College also facilitate students for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to ensure personality excellence and leadership qualities in addition to the technical expertise in the students. Advanced instrumentation facilities along with research and development cell involved in innovations, CCSEA approved animal house, proactive Training and Placement Cell and collaborations with various Pharmaceutical Industries, Research organizations and Healthcare institutions facilitate personal, social and professional development of students.

The institute has various collaborations with pharmaceutical industries, research organizations, and healthcare institutions to provide exposure to the students with real-world challenges and opportunities, thereby bridging the gap between academia and industry. Various seminars, workshops, conferences, and symposiums are organized regularly to facilitate knowledge exchange, networking, and interdisciplinary collaboration among students, faculty members, and industry professionals. The college fosters an environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and innovation, preparing students for success in the dynamic field of Pharmacy.

Best standards and practices of good governance, shall be put in place to bring in transparency of operations and improve credibility at all levels.
Appropriate Laboratory facilities would be developed in selected areas to provide the ambience for Research and Development activities.
Higher Studies/Research for faculty & Staff shall be encouraged for upgradation of knowledge through participation in Seminar, workshop etc.
Industry-ready professionals to be developed through Interactive Teaching-Learning Process, Corporate exposure and project work.
Industry Institute Partnership cell (IIPC) will be established. Industrial consultancy shall be carried out in an effective manner through Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) for developing a sense of accomplishment.
NBA accreditation for AICTE approved programmes shall be obtained at the earliest and maintained on a long-term basis.

Program Education Objectives (PEOs)

The Graduates will be able to:

To develop skilled professionals with sound knowledge in the field of pharmaceutical sciences and technology.
To facilitate students to acquire knowledge and skills in various fields of pharmaceutical sciences as per need of various sectors of pharmacy profession.

Program Outcomes (POs)

On successful completion, graduates will be able to:

1. Pharmacy Knowledge

Possess knowledge and comprehension of the core and basic knowledge associated with the profession of pharmacy, including biomedical sciences; pharmaceutical sciences; behavioural, social, and administrative pharmacy sciences; and manufacturing practices.

2. Planning Abilities

Demonstrate effective planning abilities including time management, resource management, delegation skills and organizational skills. Develop and implement plans and organize work to meet deadlines.

3. Problem Analysis

Utilize the principles of scientific enquiry, thinking analytically, clearly and critically, while solving problems and making decisions during daily practice. Find, analyse, evaluate and apply information systematically and shall make defensible decisions.

4. Modern Tool Usage

Learn, select, and apply appropriate methods and procedures, resources, and modern pharmacy-related computing tools with an understanding of the limitations.

5. Leadership Skills

Understand and consider the human reaction to change, motivation issues, leadership and team-building when planning changes required for fulfilment of practice, professional and societal responsibilities. Assume participatory roles as responsible citizens or leadership roles appropriate to facilitate improvement in health and wellbeing.

6. Professional Identity

Understand, analyse and communicate the value of their professional roles in society (e.g. health care professionals, promoters of health, educators, managers, employers, employees).

7. Pharmaceutical Ethics

Honour personal values and apply ethical principles in professional and social contexts. Demonstrate behaviour that recognizes cultural and personal variability in values, communication and lifestyles. Use ethical frameworks; apply ethical principles while making decisions and take responsibility for the outcomes associated with the decisions.

8. Communication

Communicate effectively with the pharmacy community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports, make effective presentations and documentation, and give and receive clear instructions.

9. The Pharmacist and Society

Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety and legal issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional pharmacy practice.

10. Environment and Sustainability

Understand the impact of the professional pharmacy solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change. Self-assess and use feedback effectively from others to identify learning needs and to satisfy these needs on an ongoing basis.
